For support and strength there is a 1/2'' square 18 gauge steel rear leg bar. The chair rests on nylon floor glides to resist floor scratching, and the legs include stack bumpers to protect the frame finish when the chair is being stacked. These chairs are built with a 2 piece upholstered back pad with no exposed hardware, for a clean look. With a 2'' sewn seat, including high density foam, you are ensured a comfortable place to sit. The foam cushioning meets or exceeds the Cal Spec 117 flame resistant requirement.
